I have wide experience with surgical education as a residency program director and am grateful to lead SAGES in webinar outreach. My clinical expertise ranges from foregut surgery especially gastroparesis, to the core principles of Safe Cholecystectomy, to include robotics and experience in trauma surgery. I also completed physician coach training with an emphasis on wellness and burnout prevention. As a surgeon on the US- Mexico border, I am well versed in international surgery and treatment of health care disparities seen in our immigrant population.
