2017 SAGES Flexible Endoscopy Course for Fellows
Date: September 15-16, 2017
Location: NorthShore University HealthSystem, in Chicago, Illinois
Registration for the annual 2017 SAGES Flexible Endoscopy Course for Fellows will be open in the summer 2017. The non-CME course includes a didactic and hands-on learning lab. At the end of the course, surgical fellows will become familiar with GI endoscopes, towers and the instruments used for endoscopic surgery. Fellows will also be able to identify the most common types of GI pathology and options for management.
Fellows are required to complete a brief registration application. Fellows will receive a letter of acceptance to the program within 2 weeks of submitting application. Please refrain from making travel arrangements prior to receiving an official acceptance letter.

Additional Course Information
The course accommodates 60 fellows (1st and 2nd year only). Priority will be given to SAGES candidate members.
Fees: Fellows will be charged a $100 fee, if they are accepted and cancel their participation prior to the course.
Travel: Air travel to and from Chicago, Illinois is the responsibility of each participant. The program will conclude at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Do not make your travel plans prior to receiving an acceptance letter from the SAGES office.
Hotel Accommodations: Hotel rooms will be provided for the nights of Thursday, September 14th and Friday, September 15th. Fellows will be sharing a room with one other fellow. Rooms will be assigned on an ad hoc basis. If a room is required for Saturday night or Sunday night, it will be provided at the participant’s expense.
Meals: Meals are included in the program. Friday, September 15, 2017: breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided. Saturday, September 16, 2017: breakfast & lunch will be provided.
Transportation to local airport: SAGES will provide shuttle transportation to local airports at the conclusion of the program on Saturday, September 16, 2017. (Note: All early departure transportation will be the responsibility of the individual fellow)
