2024 SAGES Flexible Endoscopy Course for Fellows

The non-CME course includes didactics and hands-on learning lab. At the end of the course, surgical fellows will become familiar with GI endoscopes, towers and the instruments used for endoscopic surgery. Fellows will also be able to identify the most common types of GI pathology and options for management.

Registration: This course is open only to 1st or 2nd year fellows in the 2024-2025 academic year. Registration is limited to the first 60 registrants. SAGES Candidate Membership (or the submission of a completed SAGES membership application) is mandatory for acceptance. To join SAGES, click here. Non-members are still allowed to register however you will not be accepted/confirmed to attend until the membership requirement is met. The same recommendation letter from your program director attesting to enrollment in or completion of a surgical education program may be used for both course registration and membership application. You may register two fellows per program for any scheduled course.
Please note that there is no cost to attend the course, but registrants will be asked for a credit card to have on file in the event of a no-show. Registrants who do not attend and fail to cancel their registration will be charged a $100 fee. Meals and hotel accommodations are provided, but participants are responsible for their travel expenses (air, ground transportation, and parking). SAGES will provide shuttle transportation to the airport at 2:00PM on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Note: All early departure transportation will be the responsibility of the individual fellow. Do not make your travel plans prior to receiving an acceptance letter to the course from SAGES office.
There will be two fellows per hotel room. A fellow may elect to have their own room at an additional cost.
