The video shows the case of a 55 years old healthy female with a pre-operative diagnosis of a large (5 cm) sessile tubulovillous adenoma at 35 cm from the anal margin not suitable for endoscopic removal. The patients is submitted to a laparoscopic sigmoidectomy. A totally intracorporeal side to end colo-rectal anastomosis performed introducing the anvil into the abdomen through a slightly enlarged trocar incision. At the end of the procedure the specimen is extracted through the vagina and the colpotomy is repaired laparoscopically.
