A 59 year old Chinese man presented to the Emergency Department of our institution with 1 day history of an acute right sided crampy abdominal pain and distension associated with 4 days history of constipation. He gave a history of blunt thoracoabdominal trauma more than 30 years ago, and had multiple chest tubes insertion at the time for right hemothorax. An urgent CT abdomen revealed a diaphragmatic hernia on the right, containing the hepatic flexure of the colon and omental fat. He underwent a successful laparoscopic reduction of the herniated colon, mobilisation of the omentum and repair of the diaphragmatic defect. The procedure is presented in a video form.
