Dr. Erin Baker is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Baker completed undergraduate work at New York University in 2004 and her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2008. She completed her general surgery residency and research program in 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center. After completing an HPB surgery fellowship also at Carolinas Medical Center, she joined the faculty in the division of HPB surgery. She serves as the program director for the HPB Surgery fellowship and the associate program director of the General Surgery residency program at Carolinas Medical Center. She is the medical director of the Morehead Medical Plaza HPB Surgery clinic and co-director of the Pancreatic Cyst clinic. Her interests include minimally invasive HPB surgery, pancreatic cystic neoplasms, and surgical education.
Speaking interests include topics related to HPB surgery, minimally invasive surgery, surgical education, and professional development.
