Mihir M. Shah, MD is in the Division of Surgical Oncology in the Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. He is the Associate Program Director for Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship. He is the Chief of Surgery of the General Surgery Section at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital. As a board certified surgeon, Dr. Shah specializes in complex laparoscopic and robotic surgery for the treatment of cancer of the liver, pancreas, biliary tree, stomach, esophagus, bile duct, small bowel and retroperitoneum including adrenals and sarcomas.
Dr. Shah is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. He holds professional memberships with American College of Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), Society of Surgical Oncology, Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association and International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association. He serves as the Co-Chair for the HPB / Solid Organ Committee with SAGES.
