Questions for Participants (MOC)

Faculty are requested to write at least one question that will be addressed in your content at the upcoming SAGES Annual Meeting. Each question should follow the content guidelines below.

The SAGES Continuing Education Committee will review questions and group all questions into Learning Themes. Please indicate which Learning Theme or Themes are applicable to your session.

  • Question Requirements:

    1. The question must be clear and succinct (no longer than 2-3 sentences)
    2. The question must represent an important patient care recommendation
    3. Questions must be framed as a case (see example)
    4. The question must be associated with one of the course objectives
    5. There must be 4 answer options with explanations for why they are correct/incorrect
    6. The answer must be non-controversial
    7. The answer must be supported by high-level literature or SAGES guidelines
    8. A reference must be provided that would help the learner answer the question (for re-tests)
    9. The reference should be formatted as required by the Surgical Endoscopy style guide.
