SAGES ADOPT Hands-On: Bothersome Biliary and Galling Gallbladders - Expanding the Surgical Toolbox
Surgeons who take call or work in acute care know the feeling: you start out the case thinking things are normal, and then all of a sudden you are thinking, “how am I going to get out of this situation?!” Challenging cases require us to feel confident in all of our surgical options. This course will be personally customized to each learners’ goals and experience, and will include the principles of safe chole, CBD exploration, and injury prevention. This course will follow the SAGES ADOPT curriculum. All participants will complete the Safe Chole modules in advance of the course. This individually tailored experience will be based around the learners’ goals and skill level. The ratio in the course will be 2:1 attendee :faculty. Prior to the hands-on session, learners will have the opportunity to review videos focused on this topic. After the hands-on session, our mentorship continues through the year long program with ongoing individual and group virtual interactions with assigned mentor and group webinars to share experiences, give advice and improve adoption rates of new procedures with a supportive environment.
