Resident Education in Robotic Surgery: Bridging the Gap With the Da Vinci SI Surgical System in a Robotic Proctectomy

 Since the introduction of the da Vinci Surgical System, resident education in robotic surgery has been a challenge.  The new da Vinci Si Surgical System has new enhancements that can potentially bridge the gap in surgical education.  We present a case of a young lady with Crohn’s disease and the video of her robotic proctectomy demonstrating these new improvements.
