Interesting technique. Fracturing the band with a tightened guidewire seems simple. Any idea what is the minimal visible circumference of the band that would make transoral retrieval feasible?

Great video demonstration and excellent endoscopic technique. I agree with Dr Gibbs, the need for surgeons to maintain endoscopic skills is paramount, and will allow the surgeon to take technology to the next level.

Guys, lets forget RIGHT NOW lap-bands and "endostapler-sleeves". Fistulas, leaks, eroded organs,... lets just plicate the great curvature!!!! is cheaper.. CHEAAAPER and with less complications. Lets say: good bye and thanks dear lap-band and thank you so much "expensives" endo-staplers :)
