This video demonstrates a transgastric resection of a gastrointestinal stromal tumor. Cuffed trocars are used to gain laparoscopic entry into the lumen of the stomach. The tumor is dissected using an energy device and the resulting gastric defect is repaired using an intracoporeal laparoscopic suturing device. The mass is removed from the abdomen with a laparoscopic retrieval bag. The gastrotomies resulting from trocar placement are then closed with a laparoscopic stapler.
