In this video, we present a patient with a 5-cm solid mass in liver segments 2 and 3. The patient had a history of oral contraceptive use and her tumor's MRI appearance was consistent with hepatocellular adenoma, hepatocyte nuclear factor (HNF) 1 alpha-inactivated subtype, the second most common adenoma subtype. In consideration of the tumor's size, left lateral segmentectomy was recommended to the patient due to concern for risk of hemorrhage and malignant transformation. The hepatic parenchyma was transected with laparoscopic ultrasonic shears and Endo GIA stapler. The specimen was removed through a mini Pfannenstiel incision approximately 4 cm in length. The patient tolerated the procedure well and was discharged on postoperative day 2.
