Thyroid nodules one of common endocrine disorders. With increasing detection of thyroid nodules on imaging studies, the number of thyroid surgery has increased by 31% by 2006. Incidence of thyroid nodules is higher in female population and there is an exponential rise of endoscopic thyroidectomies since last two decades.
Transvestibular and Transaxillary endoscopic thyroidectomies has gained a skyrocketting popularity as they are scarless & painfree surgeries.
Intraoperative role of real time ICG angiography is demonstarted.
This study explains the two approaches in detail & highlights the criteria for selection of different patient profiles regarding each approach along with cosmetic satisfaction score.
