I am an early career MIS/general surgeon practicing within a small hospital within a large hospital network. My background includes research years during residency which allowed me to attend many conferences and network my way into a new residency, and my first choice in MIS/Bariatric Fellowship. I have extesive research experience in minimally invasive surgery and complex abdominal wall reconstruciton. I am bringing this experience to increase MIS/abdominal wall care for my community at their local hospital. In doing so, I can speak on multiple early career topics, including networking within and without conferences as a trainee and practicing surgeon, job interviewing and selection, building a local referral base and care network, and negotiation/advocacy for professional development.
