Dr. McClain is a Minimally Invasive Surgeon focusing on complex hernia, general, foregut, and bariatric surgery. She is also board certified in Obesity Medicine and practices perioperative weight loss management. She is the Director of Surgical Simulation and an Assistant Program Director for the General Surgery Residency. Her research interests include Perioperative Weight Loss Management, Complex Hernia Reconstruction, Open and MIS Parastomal Hernia Repair, and Simulation Based Adult Learning Curriculum Development. She hosts a weekly city-wide hernia conference and speaks regularly locally across multiple departments, regionally, and nationally.
