Dr. Yewande Alimi is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital. She specializes in the surgical treatment of obesity via minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Alimi also sees patients for reflux disease, gallbladder disease, hernias, and other gastrointestinal conditions. Her research interests include disparities in access and outcomes in bariatric surgery, microaggressions and implicit bias, health equity and access, and clinical outcomes research in the realms of hernia and bariatrics.
