I am an endoscopic surgeon from eastern India and have led the Indian association of Gastro Intestinal Endo Surgeons as president in the past and presently I am Founder president of "Association of Robotic and Innovative Surgeons' .I have been involved in beginning many new procedures to our region that includes beginning laparoscopic surgery in 1992, begnning ERCP in 1996-7, making a beginning of spyglass cholangioscopy , Endoscopic thyroid and breast surgery and also beginning of Video assisted surgery for Fistula in Ano and beginning Robotic surgery with CMR Versius.

I have completed several thousand endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures and nearly 10000 lap cholecystectomy.

I have just completed 400 Robotic procedures

My subject of interest are therapeutic endoscopy particularly ERCP and Spyglass Cholangioscopy, laparoscopic surgery in acute abdomen and for difficult gall bladder and Robotic Surgery for general Surgeons ,organisingTeaching and training programs for surgeons and also Robotic repair of Hernias .

I have also been regularly conducting CME and Fellowship programmes and the Fellowship programme in advanced robotic and Innovative Surgery conceptualised by me is of great interest to surgeons and nearly 130 surgeons are undergoing one year fellowship a university degree endorsed by and in affiliation with Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

I am also chief editor and editorial board member of various journals that includes Journal of Minimal Access Surgery(sectional editor-Flexible endoscopy ),international Journal of Advanced Robotic and innovative surgery(Chief Editor) and Recent Advances in Minimal Access Surgery (Chief editor)
