Division Chief: Robotic, General, and Colorectal Surgery

I run a private surgical practice but am in charge as the Division Chief for surgery at Unite Medical Doctors the expansion of our large multispecialty group. We are the largest multispecialty group outside of the Kaiser system in Southern California. We have a few hundred doctors and APPS. Our goal is a physician run and operated group. We own all of our own ancillaries such as surgery centers, imaging, labs, pathology, etc. Not only should doctors be able to earn their living with their 9-5 physician jobs and procedures, but also from the join work of their colleagues and teams. As for my metrics: I see about 100 patients per clinic day, teach medical students, PA students, run an internship for pre-meds/PAs, perform >30 robotic cases monthly and >60 cases monthly. I also run the surgically/endoscopy centerers for our practice and am in charge of new recruitment of specialists. I enjoy the business of medicine as well as robotic surgery.
