I currently hold dual appointments at USC as a trauma surgeon with the Division of Acute Care Surgery and as a bariatric/MIS surgeon with the Division of Upper GI and General Surgery. My current practice consists of emergency general surgery and elective laparoscopic and robotic bariatric, foregut, and hernia surgery. I retired from the U.S. Army in 2018 after serving 24 years as an active duty surgeon including five combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
