SAGES is committed to improving patient access to innovation through its advocacy efforts.
The new CPT Advocacy Task Force will allow broader representation of the membership to SAGES efforts. The CPT task force will educate membership regarding ongoing initiatives, evaluate technology and procedures under consideration for new code applications, collaborate with other interested professional societies as it pertains to coding, reimbursement, and policy.
The CPT meeting meets three times annually for three days. CPT group members will be expected to participate in virtual and in-person meetings in preparation for the three-day CPT meeting.
New members will be appointed for a three-year term.
No experience is required beyond interest and commitment to improving advocacy efforts while upholding the principles of the AMA CPT processes. AMA membership is required. Matriculation to formal representation as SAGES CPT and RUC advisors can be facilitated by serving on the committee.
