Darryl T Gray, MD, ScD, FACC, FAHA is a Medical Officer in the Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at AHRQ, where he serves on the Healthcare Associated Infections, General Patient Safety and National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Report teams. His education includes AB and ScD degrees from Harvard and an MD from Case Western Reserve University. Prior to joining AHRQ he served as a Senior Associate Consultant at Mayo Clinic and as a Research Associate Professor at the University of Washington, Seattle. His research interests include the use of administrative, clinical and other databases to analyze of outcomes of diagnostic and interventional procedures in adult and pediatric cardiology and various surgical disciplines. He has received funding for this work from AHRQ, NIH, the American Heart Association and other sources, with results published in Circulation, JAMA, Lancet, the New England Journal of Medicine and other journals. He has been awarded Fellowship status in the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the Swedish Society of Medicine.
