Devil`s in the Details: Laparoscopic Common Bile Duct Exploration (Acute Care)
This session will help surgeons gain a better understanding of who, how, and when to perform laparoscopic common bile duct explorations (LCBDE). It will include topics from technology and training to how to proceed with LCBDE in complex and aberrant anatomy.
- Appropriately select those patients that need a LCBDE and identify anatomical barriers.
- Develop a plan for difficult LCBDE and appropriate bail out maneuvers.
- Identify training and educational components needed to maintain adequate skills to perform a LCBDE.
