This course is for Canadian general surgery residents. SAGES offers courses in gastrointestinal endoscopy and laparoscopy for PGY 2 and PGY 3 residents. The course is an educational experience designed to present the basic science and technical approaches to modern endoscopic surgery. It will present materials dealing with traditional diagnostic and therapeutic flexible endoscopy as well as minimally invasive surgical techniques. It will include an extensive laboratory experience, in addition to classroom didactics. Course announcements (which includes the registration links) for all SAGES resident courses are sent to all U.S. and Canadian program directors approximately 3 months prior to the course.
