This video demonstrates “Systematized Robotic Lateral Pelvic Node Dissection with neurovascular preservation”. We can separate three planes which will be the boundaries of each lateral areas.
First, we make the plane A, which become a medial boundary of internal iliac area. This plane includes the ureter, hypogastric, and pelvic splanchnic nerves. Next, we make the plane B, which become a medial boundary of obturator area. Lastly, we make the plane C, which become a lateral boundary of obturator area. This plane includes the branches of internal iliac artery, including umbilical artery, superior vesical artery, the origin of obturator artery, and internal pudendal artery.
We make a plan in order of plane A, B , and C, and completely removed all lymph nodes in pelvic sidewall. We hope this schematic three-plane surgery can contribute the standardization of techniques of lateral pelvic node dissection.
