St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center, New York, NY
We present a right colectomy performed on a 42-year-old woman with a recent diagnosis of a cecal mass and no significant prior history. The resection is done entirely through three clustered ports via an umbilical incision utilizing basic laparoscopic techniques. Sequential steps are outlined, as are some of the challenges unique to the technique that must be overcome.
