During Robotic Low Anterior Resection and Sigmoid Colon Resecton, specimen can be removed transrectally without making bigger incision in abdominal wall. It is feasible in selected group of patients like with diverticulitis, benign polyp and rectal prolapse.
In our series of 10 patients, who underwent robotic low anterior resection and sigmoid resection, it has lower postoperative complications like wound infection, readmission rate, anastomoitc leak and other complication. It has shorter length of stay.
