A 53 year old female, presented with a colicky peri-umbilical pain, 6 months after a bariatric surgery (roux-en-Y gastric bypass) was performed. The pain was particularly severe following a routine endoscopic examination, which revealed no abnormality. She was distended per abdominally, with a pulse rate of 100/min and blood pressure of 100/70 mm of Hg. All other vital signs were normal. On further investigation, the patient has dilated small bowel loops on the X-ray abdomen and was posted for a diagnostic laparoscopy on an urgent basis.
