This is a case presentation of a 30 year old female with history of nausea and vomiting. EGD/EUS revealed a 3.5 x 1.4cm submucosal mass at the gastroesophageal junction. Biopsy was consistent with leiomyoma. Given the patient's persistent symptoms, she was taken to the operating room for laparoscopic surgical resection of the mass. Intraoperatively, the mass was found to have numerous fingerlike projections and was essentially encircling the GE junction. This video demonstrates comeplete enucleation of the mass without violation of the mucosal layer.
