Gastroparesis is a debilitatiing medical condition that is often refractory to medical therapy. Surgical placement of a gastric stimulator has shown promising results in patients wiht refractory gastroparesis. In our video, we describe a safe and feasible laparoscopic approach for placement of a gastric electrical stimulator using sutures and surgical clips to secure the stimulator in place and an intraoperative endoscopy as n adjunct to confirm placement. Our laparoscopic approach minimizes length of hospital stay and post-operative pain.
