With the increasing use and recent advances of minimally invasive surgery, procedures that were traditionally performed via laparotomy can now be completed via laparoscopy. In our video, we demonstrate successful excision of a large intraabdominal cyst and concurrent distal pancreatectomy using minimally invasive techniques. As surgeon training continues to focus more on laparoscopic surgery, the ability to tackle different procedures laparoscopically becomes paramount in the present-day surgeon’s armamentarium.
