We describe a case in which a minimally invasive technique was successfully used to drain a right-sided periaortic abscess that had failed conservative therapy 6 months after endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. Failure of conservative therapy often results in surgery associated with high morbidity and mortality. Our case shows that laparoscopy can be considered as an alternative to high-risk procedures for incision and drainage of periaortic abscess if the graft is not compromised.
