CECAL VOLVULUS – A DEMONSTRATION OF SURGICAL MANAGEMENT AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE

This video presents the case of a 92 year old patient with a cecal volvulus. Details of his evaluation and surgical management are provided. In addition, novel animations have been created to illustrate how a volvulus can occur through rotation or bascule formation. A review of the literature supporting different treatment options is also provided.
