The Department of Surgery The University of Kentucky is recruiting a board certified/board eligible general surgeon with advanced training and experience in minimally invasive, endoscopic, and general surgery. The ideal candidate will have completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery accredited by the fellowship council. Prior experience in practice following completion of training is highly desirable. The recruit will be involved in education of medical students and residents, clinical care at the University of Kentucky Hospitals, and will be expected to develop an independent area of investigation and research. Call will be shared amongst general surgeons within the Department of Surgery. Advanced endoscopic skills as well as interest in complex abdominal wall reconstruction are highly desirable.
Faculty appointment to the College of medicine at the assistant or associate professor level will be based upon credentials and experience.
