The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Division of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery, under the direction of Benjamin K. Poulose, MD, MPH as Chief, is recruiting for a General Surgeon to join its elite team of surgeons. The position will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level and the candidate must have completed an accredited General Surgery residency training program. This position is full time and will be based at Ohio State University East Hospital. This is a highly unique opportunity to practice ‘true’ General Surgery in an academic setting encompassing a wide breadth of surgical disease. The Division includes an innovative group of surgeons who pride themselves on clinical excellence, academic investigation, and education. The position offers the potential for growth and mentorship while offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
• Board certified in General Surgery
• Academic excellence
• Successful completion of an ACGME approved residency in General Surgery
• Successful completion of a fellowship in a focused area of General Surgery is encouraged, but not required
• Eligible for State of Ohio medical licensure
• Qualify for academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience
