Fellowship in Robotic Surgery

Job Description

A one year fellowship training program in robotic general surgery begining academic year August 1, 2018. The Fellowship involves advanced training in robotic surgery techniques, including foregut surgery, hernia repairs including abdominal wall reconstruction, colon surgery, bariatric surgery and ofter general surgery procedures. The Fellowship also involves some non-robotic advanced MIS. The fellow works with 3 robotic/MIS general surgeons, performing both in-patient and out-patient robotic surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center, a 750 bed teaching hospital approx 15 miles from NYC. Fellow duties, in addition to training in robotic surgery, include office consults with attending surgeons, patient management, rounding on patients, participating in weekly didactic sessions, participating in research with submission of at least one manuscript, and teaching residents and medical students. The Robotic Surgery Fellowship is accredited by the Fellowship Council.

How to Apply

All applicants must have completed a General Surgery residency program, are board eligible or board certified, and obtain medical licensure in the state of NJ.
