To meet the opportunities offered by our expanding clinical and academic portfolio, the Division of General Surgery seeks to recruit a Chief of Bariatric Surgery at the associate professor or professor rank. The successful candidate will lead and participate in the growth and development of the Comprehensive Bariatric Surgery Center at CHI-Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. Candidates must possess superb leadership skills as well as exceptional clinical expertise in bariatric surgery, with clearly demonstrated skills as well in education and research.
A commitment to provide state-of-the-art patient focused clinical care, build a translational research team to study obesity and related diseases, and lead specialized training of physicians with an interest in minimally invasive surgical and medical treatments for obesity are key components of the position that should be supported by prior experience.
