Brigham and Women’s Hospital is seeking an academic and clinical leader to serve as the Chief of the Division of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery with an appointment as either Associate Professor or Professor at Harvard Medical School.
Candidates must be a board-certified surgeon who is particularly qualified in the care of general and gastrointestinal surgical patients and actively involved in related research. The individual should have a demonstrated ability to both build and strengthen clinical and educational programs and to foster collaboration across specialties and institutional borders.
The candidate must have well-developed leadership, management and organizational skills; the candidate’s work in the area of general and gastrointestinal surgery must be recognized nationally as evidenced by publications, leadership roles in scholarly societies, and a regional, national and international patient referral base. The candidate must also be a committed teacher with experience mentoring students, residents, fellows, and faculty members.
