The Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine is committed to excellence in surgical care, education and research. To meet the opportunities offered by our expanding clinical and academic portfolio, the Division of General Surgery seeks to recruit a Chief in the Section of Colon and Rectal Surgery. This individual will be board certified and fellowship trained in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the associate professor rank or above. The successful candidate will lead a robust clinical program and exhibit a commitment to clinical excellence and innovation. The candidate will build collaborative programs on a national level and demonstrate expertise in the growth and development of the Section of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. Candidates must possess exceptional leadership and clinical expertise in advanced laparoscopic and robotic colon and rectal surgery, with clearly demonstrated skills as well in education and research.
A commitment to provide state-of-the-art patient focused clinical care and lead specialized training of physicians with an interest in minimally invasive surgical and medical treatment of benign and malignant colorectal conditions are key components of the position that should be supported by prior experience.
