The Gastrointestinal and Minimally Invasive Surgery (GMIS) division of the Oregon Clinic is seeking a full-time, experienced, board-certified colorectal surgeon to join our growing practice. GMIS is a thriving surgical division of the Oregon Clinic and our 15 surgeons make up a multi-specialty practice that includes Colorectal, Endocrine, Foregut, General, Hepatobiliary, and Venous Disorders. The 4 surgeons that make up the colorectal group, Mark Whiteford, MD FASCRS, David O’Brien, MD FASCRS, Rehan Ahmad, MD FRCS, and Amanda Hayman, MD, provide surgical and non-surgical treatment for colorectal cancers as well as hemorrhoids, diverticulitis, fistula, and inflammatory bowel disease. Our physicians are regional leaders in advanced minimally invasive techniques dedicated to teaching and research and we maintain a constant stream of residents and fellows seeking to learn from our highly regarded experts. This practice has a dedicated colorectal fellowship.
The colorectal practice has grown significantly over the last few years and we are expanding our secondary site to meet volume demand. Emergency department call is limited to colorectal only. The ideal candidate has an advanced minimally invasive surgical skill set as well as a demonstrated commitment to research, teaching, and program building. Board Certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery
Minimum 5 years practice experience
