The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) along with The Division of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery within the Department of Surgery is looking to hire a Bariatric Surgeon to join its elite team of surgeons. This position will include a focus on bariatric/metabolic surgery to include an array of minimal invasive techniques as part of the Ohio State Comprehensive Weight Management Program. The position will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level and the candidate must have completed an accredited bariatric surgery fellowship program. The candidate should have a strong academic background in basic/translational science or health services research; a history of funding or plans for extramural funding is strongly desired. This position is full time and based at Ohio State University Main Hospital. The position offers the potential for growth and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
• Board Eligible or Certified in General Surgery
• Successful completion of a Bariatric Surgery Fellowship
• Strong Academic Experience in basic science, translational or health services research
• History of funding or Extramural funding is strongly desired
• Eligible for State of Ohio medical licensure
• Qualify for academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience
