Academic General, Foregut and Minimally Invasive Surgeon
The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis; School of Medicine seeks to recruit a full-time academic position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor in the Clin X, In-Residence, or Health Science Clinical Professor series; appointment level will depend on experience and qualifications.
The selected candidate will be expected to participate in teaching; clinical care, both inpatient and outpatient; research activities; and university service. Qualified candidates must have an M.D. degree; completed an ACGME accredited and approved Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship; and be board certified/eligible in general surgery. The candidate must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment. Additionally, the candidate must acquire a CA Medical License before the start date.
The successful candidate will join the Division of Foregut, Metabolic, and General Surgery and is expected to have a diverse general surgical practice with a strong focus in minimally invasive surgery. Preferred qualifications include: prior experience or interest in developing an independent research program, innovative surgical skills, demonstrated experience with minimally invasive surgery, and a strong interest in clinical education. Salary and level of appointment will be based upon experience and qualifications.
