Description

The West Virginia University School of Medicine and Department of Surgery are seeking a General Surgeon with fellowship training in Bariatric Surgery to join our academic team in Morgantown, WV. Faculty appointment available at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, depending on experience.

Position Highlights:

  • Provide advanced care in General Surgery (including hernia, foregut, endocrine, acute care, and more) with a focus in Bariatric Surgery
  • Collaborate with a skilled team offering robotic, laparoscopic, and endoscopic treatments
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in a leading academic setting
  • Work in a MBSAQIP-accredited comprehensive bariatric center committed to lifelong patient care

Qualifications:

  • MD/DO or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of General Surgery Residency & Bariatric Surgery Fellowship
  • Board certified/eligible in General Surgery
  • Eligible for state medical licensure
