Division of Minimally Invasive/Complex Foregut & Bariatrics in New Orleans, LA
Tulane University School of Medicine’s Department of Surgery is currently seeking candidates for the Division of MIS/Bariatric Surgery, a clinical faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank.
Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates should have satisfactorily completed a training program in general surgery accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and be eligible for licensure in Louisiana. Successful candidates will have completed fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery. Expertise and/or training in complex foregut and endoscopic procedures is preferred. The candidate should be comfortable with advanced bariatric surgeries, endoscopic procedures, and advanced minimally invasive techniques.
Responsibilities will include working with the division to achieve its goals in each mission: administrative, education, research and clinical. In addition to clinical duties, it is incumbent to have a commitment to the education of fellows, residents and medical students.
