Job Description Summary:
The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita campus is seeking an outstanding researcher to join a developing research program to advance delivery of cutting edge, innovative child and adolescent mental health services across the spectrum of care from prevention to tertiary intervention. We seek a tenure track faculty to apply dissemination and implementation (D&I) science to enhance rigorous, pragmatic studies in child and adolescent mental health. This shared position will effectively integrate D&I principles and healthcare delivery research into an existing strong clinical program in pediatric primary care and mental health services. Such research is supported by a strong collaboration between the departments of Pediatrics, Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, and Population Health. The successful candidate will contribute to multidisciplinary teams of faculty from partner departments across the university.

Implementation science is a growing interdepartmental focus at KUMC led by the Department of Population Health, including Shellie Ellis, PhD MA and Simon Craddock Lee, PhD MPH. The Department is committed to addressing rural and urban health inequities through strong partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, health systems and other stakeholders in diverse communities and across the care delivery continuum in the rapidly growing, multicultural Mid-West context. This recruitment will be based in the highly collegial environment of the KUMC Wichita campus renowned for community engagement at multiple levels.

Together the Departments seek strong applicants with a demonstrated track record of funded and published research, including interdisciplinary collaborations, in dissemination and implementation research with a focus on behavioral health and psychiatric illness. This position will be a 12-month full-time, tenure track position at the late assistant or associate professor level commensurate with experience. Established investigators may be considered for leadership roles and opportunities, as appropriate. Opportunities available for clinical work in the departments of Pediatrics and/or Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:
• Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) with training in implementation science, psychology, health services research or related area
• Demonstrated history of scholarship in the dissemination and implementation science related to delivery of mental health services and programs
• Potential to support or secure extramural funding as demonstrated by participation in recent grants and/or contracts
• Ability to work both individually and collaboratively within a dynamic, inter-disciplinary environment
