Section Chief of Colon and Rectal Surgery
The Division of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital is seeking motivated applicants for a section chief of Colon and Rectal Surgery. The Section of Colon and Rectal Surgery consists of seven surgeons with clinical practices across four sites, including Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, South Shore Hospital and Kent Hospital in Rhode Island. This individual’s clinical practice will be primarily based at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where they will be responsible for colorectal program development across the Brigham system, as well as faculty development and mentorship. Preference will be given to a candidate with a strong academic record.
Eligible candidates must have completed a general surgery residency training program and fellowship training in colorectal surgery. Suitable candidates will have an MD or an MD/PhD and board certifications from the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colorectal Surgery. The candidate should be eligible for, and maintain, full medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Appointment as assistant or associate professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and teaching activities.
