The Department of Surgery at Duke University Medical Center is seeking a BE/BC general surgeon with fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery. A focus on general MIS surgery and/or hernia specialist is a plus. A track record of research in basic/translation/health services/surgical data sciences is also encouraged. This position could be based at Duke’s main medical campus or at Duke Regional Hospital with the opportunity to participate in our faculty practice at the Durham VA.
The Department of Surgery is also seeking a BE/BC general surgeon with fellowship training in minimally surgery to be based at Duke Raleigh Hospital. A focus on bariatric surgery is a plus. There is also an opportunity to participate in the Acute Care Surgery service at Duke Raleigh Hospital as well.
Opportunity for protected research time based on candidate qualifications. Academic rank will be based on individual qualifications, with research and clinical productivity measures used to guide clinical track.   Individual is expected to participate fully in the activities of the Division, including clinical care, research, and teaching of medical students, surgery residents, and ancillary staff.
