Description
The Emory General and GI Surgery Division, with The Emory University School of Medicine and Department of Surgery, is seeking 3 full-time faculty members at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This is an academic position requiring teaching and research responsibilities, in addition to clinical work.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
General, Emergency, and Critical Care based at EHH, along with service to DOU and EHC entities.
Teach and Leadership of Emory students and trainees (including PA and NP preceptorships.
Develop clinic practice to provide sufficient coverage and care for DOU hospital entities.
Participate fully in calls for DOU.
Develop academic portfolio in alignment with SOM goals.
Participation in hospital and health system quality initiatives and relevant committees.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Board Certified General Surgeon
Successful completion of a 2 year general surgery fellowship in a nationally recognized program
A valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia
A controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate
