Description

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) along with The Division of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery within the Department of Surgery is looking to hire a General Surgeon to join its elite team of surgeons. This position will include a focus on general and minimally invasive surgery.  The position will be at the Assistant Professor level and the candidate must have completed a minimally invasive surgery fellowship program with a focus on bariatric surgery. Candidate must have a strong academic background.  This position is full-time and will be based at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and its Ambulatory Surgery Centers.  The position offers the potential for growth and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Board Eligible or Certified in General Surgery
  • Successful completion of a Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship
  • Strong Academic Experience in basic science, translational, or health services research
  • History of funding or Extramural funding is strongly desired
  • Eligible for State of Ohio medical licensure
  • Qualify for academic appointment at the Assistant Professor level – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience
