Hartford HealthCare (HHC), a $4 billion health system and the second largest employer in CT seeks a dynamic Bariatric Surgeon to practice at Backus Hospital, a 213-bed hospital located in Norwich, CT.

Reporting to the Chief of Surgery, The Bariatric Surgeon will:

  • Be a part of a comprehensive, coordinated program for bariatric care
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team of specialists including bariatric surgeons, medical bariatricians, advanced practitioners, endocrinologists, diabetes educators, and health psychologists
  • Enjoy significant organizational support to grow the Bariatric program
  • Have access to New Intuitive da Vinci Xi surgical robot
  • Operate as a Chief Growth Officer in a region fertile for further expansion
  • We support your development and wellbeing through the respected HHC Physician Leadership Development Institute and the groundbreaking Office of Provider Wellness

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a fellowship-trained Bariatric/MIS Surgeon
  • BC/BE physician with demonstrated clinical skills
  • Licensed or eligible to be licensed in Connecticut
