SAGES has a Military Working Group. Members include retired, prior service and those currently on Active Duty in the United States Army, Air Force and Navy. The list of those who have served in the military and are currently active in SAGES includes the immediate past President of SAGES, Steven Schwaitzberg (LTC-R(ret), veteran of the Gulf War), co-founder of SAGES, Barry Salky (LTC (ret), veteran of the Vietnam War), past President of SAGES Rick Satava (COL (ret), USA), and the current President of the ASMBS, Robin Blackstone, (MAJ).
